Conducting a training seminar on the assessment of human rights impacts and the formation of a human rights due diligence (HRDD) system

Client: A large mining and metals company Country: Russia
Purpose: to hold a training seminar for the Company's employees responsible for the implementation of sustainable development programs, to provide an overview of relevant materials and techniques, as well as to hold a question-and-answer session on the topic of human rights impact assessment ENSOR Approach: ENSOR developed presentation materials that included definitions, an overview of requirements, and an analysis of practical examples. The materials were presented in a format that maximally involved listeners in discussion and interactive solution of educational tasks.
Result: The training seminar, lasting 2.5 hours, included 4 modules:
Module 1. Human rights risks and impacts
Module 2. The structure and stages of the formation of a system of due diligence in relation to the human rights risks
Module 3. Joint analysis of one of the risks in the field of human rights
Module 4. Analysis of the formation status of a due diligence system in the Company
The Company's employees responsible for the formation and implementation of the due diligence system, in a joint discussion with consultants, identified the necessary adjustments and the next steps for its development.
